What's Rampura Organics

It began with an ardent thought to support the farmers on activity that they were mostly involved in, being agriculture and farming.
Liked the idea of proposing them to carry out organic farming, a couple of the farmers were readily willing to indulge in.



We began with getting some strong organic farming experts and carried out some study and discussion with the local farmers on what is best for them
During one such discussion, a keen listener being a farmer narrated a very nice event that took place with him.

What was that event?

It began with an ardent thought to support the farmers on activity that they were mostly involved in, being agriculture and farming.
Liked the idea of proposing them to carry out organic farming, a couple of the farmers were readily willing to indulge in.



The adjoining vendor’s greens looked more fluffy and bright when compared to greens brought by the farmer from Rampura
The farmer from Rampura had priced his greens higher than his adjoining vendor
Naturally the customers being attracted to the bright looking greens and being at lesser price in comparison were buying from the adjoining vendor



Farmer from Rampura tried telling the customers that his greens were organic and hence more healthy.
Farmer from Rampura tried convincing the customers that organically grown greens are usually less in produce and hence costlier than farm greens
Farmer from Rampura was able to convince few customers but at the end of the day, right in front of his eyes he saw his adjoining vendor was with a better advantage and had almost sold his entire produce



Farmer from Rampura with day coming to close and with the need to call the day-off and reach home and being unable to match his adjoining vendor in price, had to empty his produce at lesser price and landed up with a loss

Lessons learnt from above incidence

  • ✔ Clearly realized, that organic products are costlier to produce
  • ✔ Organic produce output is lesser in comparison to other non-organic produce



Now why Organic produce at all

  • ✔ Organic produce is healthy and healthy consumption will lead to healthier life
  • ✔ Everybody at large wish to lead healthy life and consume healthy produce



What do general public want?

I am sure all are willing to pay a little extra but definitely would want organic produce but they find the farmers are not willing to supply organic produce




We have a situation, farmers are willing to offer organic produce


Customers are willing to consume organic produce


There is a definite need to stay healthy and consume organic products


Customers are not to be blamed for getting veered towards better looks and lower cost produce

But then what is the missing link?

Hold on, now what is jaggery doing in all above?




Clearly our discussion was on agriculture produce, jaggery is produced out of sugarcane and market is inundated with the jaggery produce using hazardous chemicals, now Rampura Organics with a committed objective to provide customers with healthy options is providing jaggery processed free of chemicals and sulphur.
